This is a very gory gladiator simulator. That sentence is a very great sentence indeed. Also, before we get started, normally in ancient Rome gladiators didn't get killed. So, time to get started on the game. The game is doesn't have a story, but it is more like a wave based game. At first, you start with a mace up against people with no armor. But after a while, you have a million weapons up against people with armor everywhere. Luckily, the sword is OP (over powered), so you don't need to break every piece of armor to kill one guy. Someone I know complained that it is a flail like game, but it really isn't. It is hard to use actual strategies, but with some luck, mixed with skill, you can use strategies. Until you get hit. After getting hit for the first time, you pretty much need to flail. You can only get hit once, but you do have time to kill someone, which is how you revive yourself. You earn weapons by killing people in certain ways. For instance, to get a shield like thing you need to parry attacks. There are also many challenge fights, giving you weapons if you win. Once you get a certain amount of weapons, you spawn with random weapons each time, but always the same amount.
Now onto something called party mode. Party mode allows one person inside VR to fight someone outside of VR. The controls are a bit COD Arcade mixed with sword and shield. You have to play on a controller, so one stick controls movement, and the other controls attacks. It is actually really fun, though the person in VR can't win. The goal for the non VR person is to the VR person, and the goal for the VR person is to survive AI gladiators, and the player controlled gladiator. The non VR gladiator can die as much as they want, yet the VR person can die but once. Overall, I give this game a 8 out of 10.
